   Okay...my marine is going to have surgery on Good Friday. Anyways his surgery is going to be on his butt. He has a kind of cist* I can't remember the name and it is about as big as a dime. He accidentaly busted it awhile back and it went through a tract that made part of the cist wrap around to the back of his tail bone. Anyways after his surgery he has to lay around and not really move except to use the bathroom for 1 month or almost 2. But the wound isn't supposed to heal up to where he can actually move around really good such as running, walking, going to classes, pt, etc. for 3 almost 5 months. He was supposed to start his classes that week he is having surgery but he can't start his classes till he heals. Does anybody know whether he will get medical leave till he heals or have to sit at MOS school at NAS P'cola doing nothing but laying on his stomach?

   well i tried to call at 8 and it rang threw and went to voicemail so i figured he was busy. You know of anything they would be doin about this time?

   If he was in his barracks or at the Enlisted club, he may not have had signal. Or, if he is walking around base, he wouldn't be able to talk unless he stopped. And, while they are in indoc, they need to move around as a group.

   Do you think its best to wait for your marine to call during the day or is okay to call?

   It's best to wait for your Marine to call. They are not supposed to have their cell phones on them during class. If he has his with him & forgets to turn it off, he can get himself & his whole group into trouble. They are usually busy from early in the morning until about 4 or 4:30 pm. Also, when they are in uniform, they are not allowed to walk & talk on their cell phones at the same time.
